About this project

The association "Karma Tengyal Ling Buddhistische Gemeinschaft e.V."

The association "Karma Tengyal Ling Buddhistische Gemeinschaft e.V." is solely a tool to make the Buddha's teachings accessible also in Germany. The main goal is to build a monastery and temple complex that can be used by all Buddhist schools. The joint use of this property can make Buddhism experienceable in its diversity and clarity. The construction of the temple, which will contain various other shrine rooms in addition to the main shrine room, is intended to emphasise this. Everything material serves to convey the Buddha's teaching. This teaching has no end in itself, but serves all sentient beings. Thus this association, like the teaching, serves people who want to walk the path of spiritual liberation.

What are your donations used for?

Among the many charitable activities funded by donations are:

  • Visits of Buddhist teachers: course fees alone do not always cover all the costs of visiting Buddhist teachers.
  • Maintenance and running costs of the premises for religious purposes: two temple rooms, library, gardens, dining hall, kitchen, as well as heating, well and biological sewage treatment plant.
  • Purchase of books for the library of the Buddhist Institute, currently the library contains over 3,000 books.
  • Free guided tours and information for all visitors and interested persons in the Buddhist Institute
  • Renovations and refurbishments such as refurbishments in the main house, renovation and furnishing of the Karmapa flat and a new temple room in the main house
