About this project

The Project entitled "Removing barriers to education, provide access to health care and economic opportunities for women and children through the construction of a foot or pedestrian bridge which even bikers can access over Ebeh stream in central Bajoh, Bangem sub division has as main goal to stop the root cause of rural poverty, illiteracy, joblessness, accidental death  and high death rate resulting from limited access to health care facility and education caused by rural isolation as a result of a fast flowing stream with no bridge, hammock or other way out. As a result of this perennial barrier, the life and well-being of women and children in central Bajoh is affected so negatively some of whom have even lost their lives in a bit to get access to education and health care. The beneficiary community suffers from over 20-30 accidental death as a result of children or women being drown or carried away by this  swift stream annually. Find attached pictures of what children go through to receive education. Very often only 10% of especially the female students succeed. CENCUDER a local NGO that liaises directly with the poor, the weakest and needy envisions a world where poverty caused by rural isolation which is the root cause of illiteracy among rural children, no longer exists. We believe that connection is the foundation to opportunities
