We at SAGE Net are committed to international understanding, especially between Germany and South Africa. In doing so, we strongly focus on the intercultural exchange of young people. For a long time, we have been sending young Germans to South Africa as part of the weltwärts program.
In 2013, the South-North component of the weltwärts program was launched, under which SAGE Net South Africa also sends young South Africans to our German partner organizations. It is our aim to enable both South African youth and partner organizations to learn from each other, that they develop personally and, after their return to South Africa, carry what they have learned in Germany into their own community and thus strengthen an intercultural understanding for each other.
Our task as a supporting organisation is to prepare the young South Africans in the best possible way before their assignment, to support them during their stay and to help them to process and understand what they have experienced and learned after their return.
In order to be able to support our South African volunteers pedagogically, our German volunteers need a refresher course every now and then. For joint activities of the young people with our mentors, we would like to be able to offer them additional pocket money. Furthermore, with your donation you help us to expand our engagement in the South-North-Program and thus to come one step closer to our goal of international understanding.
Invest in a future of solidarity and intercultural exchange, and donate to our South-North program.
Thank you very much!
