vision2inspire is intended to contribute to unfold and foster the full potential of Christian faith in this world – in personal daily life, in groups, organizations, the society and finally on international level in face of increasing globalization.
Condensing it to three core areas, vision2inspire is about fostering faith, involvement, and innovation:
- We are convinced that the key to the problems of our world are found in the gospel of Jesus Christ and the personal relationship it allows to have with the Trinitarian God of the Bible.
- Christians, who are filled with the love of God for humans, will, in their own way, naturally engage in serving others. They will, formally or informally, pursue some form of „citizen’s involvement“ – as individual, as groups, in the context of a charitable organization or as employee of a company in the sense of “corporate citizenship” as described by the German Enquete-Commission of the German Bundestag (Parliament).
- Even though church history often has shown little evidence of it, the relationship to the Trini-
tarian God of the Bible is a constant source of spiritual and practical innovation for this
o God’s incredible creativity reveals itself in the breath-taking creation an also the diverse creativity he has endowed to human beings to use them sustainable in his spirit.
o Jesus Christ substituted many „dead“ faith traditions by a personal relationship to God which was totally inconceivable until then, enabling it by his own death on the cross.
o Only forgiveness from God and then among ourselves enables a new beginning in even desperate situations, which are the consequence of our egoism on all levels of daily life and society.
o The Holy Spirit bounced not only all human perceptions and plans again and again in the Bible. He also does it today – if we let him act and open ourselves to his super-
natural and creative work in this world.
In a world of ever accelerating change, increasing globalization and incalculable climate change, innovation is essential for survival of our society. But not every innovation is in itself “good”. Hence, especially here we need fundamental ethical values – something the Chris-
tian faith undoubtedly has to offer.
