iacawa supports selected stray-dog projects in Eastern and South-Eastern Europe. In Nis/Serbia the Naissus PAWark-shelter harbours about 300 stray dogs saved from death. The animals are fed, provided with medication, tended to and primarily socialised. A few of them are subsequently accommodated in new homes.

Until then, the animals wait for their chance. This year, for the first time, all dogs will be inoculated to avoid the spreading of diseases. Up to now, this had only partially been possible due to the costs. On the whole, the vaccination programme costs approximately 5400.- EUR (EUR 18.- per dog, against rabies and polyvalent vaccinations against distemper, parvovirosis etc.). We vaccinate in 3 steps.
