Three hundred and forty million children in Sub-Saharan Africa live without electricity. This means they can’t study after dark, are less likely to graduate, and get jobs that can help pull their families out of poverty. And that’s especially true for girls.

At Little Sun, we believe that education is one of the most empowering forces in the world. This fall, just in time for the new school year, we are on a mission to bring solar lamps to 5,000 children in rural Africa so they can learn their lessons, stay in school, and break down barriers to opportunity.
