About us
The Little Sun Foundation was founded by artist Olafur Eliasson to deliver solar energy to the most vulnerable communities worldwide.
As a charitable entity, we work with qualified partners to bring high-quality, durable, long-lasting solar products to displaced people and school children who would otherwise not have access to clean energy at all.
Our solar-education programmes aim to provide children with tools and knowledge that empower them to shape a sustainable future for themselves and for the planet.
Access to clean energy parallels access to almost every major opportunity in life: access to education, jobs, security, gender equality and better health. This is why "Clean and affordable energy access" is one of 17 Sustainble Development Goals set by the UN to achieve peace and prosperity for people and the planet. Because solar power means empowerment!

We received a payout of €5,144.53
Little Sun Foundation is extremely grateful for your support. We will use the donations to bring solar lamps to students in rural Tanzania, Ethiopia and Rwanda who are living off the electrical grid. The lamps will be illuminating life after sundown, making it easier to study, keeping families healthier and safer, and removing the burden of costly sources of energy that are also detrimental to the planet.
