About this project

Commemoration of the victims of the NSU
On November 4, 2021, the civilian population of the city of Zwickau would like to commemorate the victims of the NSU terror.

Who are we?
We are the Alliance for Democracy and Tolerance of the Zwickau region. An association of companies, associations and representatives from local administrations. Together with committed members from civil society, it is our common goal and at the same time a unifying understanding to promote the safeguarding, further development and shaping of a democratic and non-violent coexistence in society, especially in the Zwickau region.

We see ourselves as a platform for exchange and as a meeting spot for a democratic civil society in the region. The mediation between and the integration of all democratic forces, beyond the status of membership or cooperation partnership in the Alliance, is a matter of concern to us.

Why do we want to commemorate on November 4, 2021?
The critical engagement with the past is an essential approach for our activities in the present and future.

On November 4, 2011, the neo-Nazi terror network of the NSU was exposed in Zwickau. For more than ten years, the members lived underground. Just like the case in Zwickau. Covered by a network of supporters, they were able to plan robberies and murders.

It is important to the citizens of Zwickau to remember the people who have fallen victim to this network and to make an important contribution to the reappraisal of right-wing structures to avoid further acts of violence.

For this we need your support
Over the course of the commemoration on November 4, committed people would like to realize various tribute actions.

Your donation helps to remember the victims and at the same time, points out the need for a vigilant democracy.
