MAMA JANE ORPHANAGE
This orphanage is found in Kenya in Mbeere district.This is the district that stands at the entrance of the vast arid area of NE Kenya.It has large population of very destitute people.The young men and women leave their homes at the tender age of 9 years to seek for employment in urban and cities where since they are not educated, they end up becoming houseboys and house girls .Many are exploited sexually and become young mothers .They end up contracting HIV/AIDS.This has increased the number of orphans in Mbeere area.We have reached out to educate them population at Mbeere about reproductive health and try to improve the standard of living among the residents through capacity building.We are looking for people to partner with us in this ministry /project to educate the population.We invite volunteers from Kenya ,England,USA and Germany to join us.Churches could send mission groups to the area.The Mbeere area is relatively peaceful other than the sun is always very hot.So i look forward to good people to use betterplace as a forum to help the helpless and the voiceless.Most of the children rescued from this destitution live with an old woman at Mama Jane orphanage.We request good people to donate to keep the orphanage going to help as many orphans as possible through betterplace.Thank you

A CRISIS IN OUR ORPHANAGE
WE ARE REPORTING A CRISIS IN OUR MAMA JANE ORPHANAGE AS A RESULT OF PEOPLE MIGRATING FROM ISIOLO ABOUT 100 KM FOR SAFETY FROM CHAOS TAKING PLACE THERE .WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO CARING PEOPLE TO COME IN TO HELP DONATE TO SAVE THE SITUATION.ALREADY THE PEOPLE WITHIN THE ORPHANAGE HAVE BEEN VISITING TO SEE WHAT THEY CAN DO.THE ORPHANANGE IS SITUATED IN SERENE LOCATION THOUGH THE LOCATION IS DRY ,IT HAS A NATURAL BOREHOLE THAT DOES N'T DRY UP EVEN IN THE DRY SEASON .WE ARE ASKING DONORS TO HELP CONSTRUCT THE BOREHOLE 2TO UP GRADE ITS SANITATION.WE HAD SEVERAL YOUNG PEOPLE VISIT THE ORPHANAGE LAST YEAR UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF MR.BEN TOBIAS FROM USA.WE REQUEST MANY OTHER GROUPS TO VISIT OUR ORPHANAGE THIS YEAR.THANK YOU.
