About us

Filminitiative Dresden e.V. is the association behind the FILMFEST DRESDEN and other short film projects held throughout the year.
Every April, FILMFEST DRESDEN presents a selection of the best international short films in Dresden. Since 1989, the festival has provided a forum for political discourse and intercultural exchange. Even outside the festival season, it is continuously involved in a wide range of short film projects and promotes the values of democracy, tolerance and inclusion.
