About us
We are EcoMujer e.V., a women's and environmental project that has been promoting exchange and cooperation between women in Cuba, Latin America and Germany since 1996.
The name EcoMujer deliberately stands for the connection between ecology (Eco) and women (Mujer). Together with women from Cuba and Latin America, we are continuously developing this exchange, advocating for a new understanding of nature and the environment, and promoting sustainable development and social alternatives for a more just world.
EcoMujer supports projects in the fields of water, urban agriculture and environmental education.
We organise events, exchange trips, lecture tours, workshops and seminars on food sovereignty and sustainable development – both in Germany and in Cuba. We want to learn from each other and actively exchange ideas on environmental issues.
In addition, we are co-organisers of the ‘Cuban Film Days’ in Düsseldorf.
