About us

The German Child Protection Association (DKSB) is a large, non-profit organization that advocates for the rights and protection of children and young people in Germany. It acts as their lobby, working to create a child-friendly society, combating violence and poverty, promoting their development, and offering concrete assistance such as counseling, respite care for families, and childcare. With numerous local and state branches, it is active throughout Germany and engages in political advocacy to strengthen children's rights and improve the living conditions of families.

The Leverkusen branch offers counseling for children, young people, and families. It operates three clothing banks, is involved in early intervention programs, and oversees the nationwide "Number Against Sorrow" project.
