About us
Music and dance move us – and we move Dresden.
We, that is the Heinrich-Schütz-Konservatorium Dresden (HSKD for short), are the municipal non-profit music school in the state capital, with around 8 000 music and dance enthusiasts of all ages and 205 dedicated employees.
Our goal? Culture for everyone! We stand for colorful diversity, creative education, and musical togetherness—whether in the concert hall, on stage, or in the heart of Dresden.
In close cooperation with daycare centers, schools, cultural institutions, and partners in urban society, we contribute to sustainably strengthening Dresden as a vibrant cultural city.
