About us

We are deeply impressed by the confidence and courage of women, whether here in Europe or around the world. We founded our association in 2002 to promote communication and networking among women from different social classes and across national and cultural boundaries. We are part of the international women's movement and represent the idea that mutual solidarity is not a one-way street. Our permanent projects are the Women´s Political Counsel and the World Women's Conference of Grassroots Women, which emerged from it in 2011.

In addition, we organise fundraising campaigns, such as after the earthquake in Nepal, for the secret work of Afghan women in girls' schools in 2022; and for trade union work among seamstresses in Bangladesh. Women connect worlds!
