JGC Volunteer Interpreters is an NGO which was created to support International organizations which work in response to the Great East Japan Earthquake of March 11th. We provide free interpreting services so that they can carry out their important work more smoothly and effectively. Some recent examples of groups which we worked with include the Indian Relief and Rehabilitation Team sent by the Indian Embassy, the Jordanian Team, and various NGOs.
We provide the services free of charge, and all interpreters are volunteers. However, we require donations to continue our work to support costs such as for travel to the affected areas and equipment such as for safety and camping.
