About us

weil Tiere lieber leben e.V. operates the SanaMUHrium sanctuary – the heart of our work. It’s a peaceful place where rescued farm animals can live out their lives in safety. Since 2007, long before the association was founded, we have rescued around 150 so-called farm animals, especially “retired” dairy cows. Many came from terrible conditions and were saved from export, abuse, or slaughter. Today, 89 of them are still with us, and about 50 live at SanaMUHrium.
We see ourselves not only as an animal welfare organization but also as advocates for animal rights.
Our work is funded solely through donations and sponsorships.
We promised our animals they would live in peace and freedom under our protection. To keep that promise, we rely on your support. Every contribution helps—become part of the SanaMUHrium project through a donation or animal sponsorship.
