About us
The European Society for Environmental History (ESEH) promotes the study of environmental history across disciplines and welcomes anyone interested in the field. ESEH aims to encourage the study of European environmental history in a comparative perspective; foster communication among historians in Europe and beyond; support the development of environmental history in education; promote research and its integration in academic programs; and strengthen links between environmental history, policy-making, and the public.
In order to achieve these goals, ESEH organises both online and in-person events such as summer schools, workshops, and biennial conferences, where scholars from across Europe and around the world gather to share their work. In addition, ESEH undertakes a wide range of other projects that foster collaboration and advance the field of environmental history. For more information, visit http://eseh.org/
