About us
Since 1994, Kinderhilfe Fortaleza (Children's Aid Fortaleza) has been supporting children and young people in one of the poorest favelas of Brazil, in Fortaleza, the country’s fourth-largest city. Our mission is to give them a brighter future – through access to education, healthcare, a daily meal, and meaningful activities.
Many families in the favela live under extremely difficult conditions, often without steady income or any real prospects. Our Kinderhilfe Fortaleza center, located right next to the school, offers children a safe place where they can get help with homework, share their joys and worries, and simply be children.
Through excursions, celebrations, and creative projects, we create moments of carefree childhood. At the same time, we strengthen their health, confidence, and opportunities for a better life. Our work is funded entirely by donations – every contribution has a direct impact and changes lives for the better.
