About us
Treasures of Kenya e.V. is a non-profit organisation based in Cologne, Germany, dedicated to preserving Kenya's unique natural landscapes and cultural diversity. In close cooperation with our partner organisation, the 50 Treasures of Kenya Trust in Nairobi, we work on projects that combine nature conservation and sustainable development.
Our work focuses on protecting Kenya's ecologically valuable regions and promoting the rich cultural heritage of its various population groups. We place particular emphasis on sustainable and nature-friendly tourism that supports local communities and secures long-term sources of income for them. Through targeted projects in the areas of education, vocational training and sustainable resource management, we help local people to improve their livelihoods and become economically independent.
