Musliminaisten vaatteet
managed by Rudolf Schuster
About us
The aim of the project is to study and promote the visibility of Muslim women’s clothing in Europe as a unifying element of cultural heritage, modern fashion, and social identity. In recent years, Muslim women have become increasingly active participants in the European fashion industry, introducing new stylistic solutions where tradition and contemporary trends meet. Hijabs, abayas, khimars, and modern garments representing the modest fashion movement are seen not only within communities but also on catwalks, in universities, and on the streets of European cities.
The core idea of the project is to show that Muslim women’s clothing is not limited to a religious context but also serves as a form of cultural expression and an important part of Europe’s multicultural landscape. The initiative explores the integration of Muslim fashion into the European fashion scene, analyzes its reception in society, and builds a dialogue between tradition and modernity.
