About us

When the Terezín Memorial opened a youth meeting center in the former “Magdeburger Kaserne” in 1997, the association “Förderung der Jugendbegegnung in Theresienstadt/Terezín e.V.” was also founded.

Volunteers from Aktion Sühnezeichen Friedensdienste e.V. and Verein GEDENKDIENST are responsible for looking after the many German-speaking and some English-speaking groups. They are accompanied by our association. As with a sponsorship, we would like to support the volunteers in word and deed

We look for project partners and sponsors for the volunteers' work in Germany.
We publicize the services of the Terezín Memorial Meeting Centre in Saxony.
We organize further training for the volunteers.
Our association takes on a number of other tasks in the field of educational work on the subject of the Holocaust and Theresienstadt.
