About us
Jugendhof Bessunger Forst e.V. is a non-profit, self-managed educational and leisure centre on the edge of the Darmstadt forest. As a recognised child and youth welfare organisation, we have been committed to inclusive, ecological and political education for almost 50 years. Our focus is particularly on children and young people who are otherwise rarely included - for example due to disabilities, health restrictions or challenging life situations. woodiversum is an inclusive creative workshop where young people with and without disabilities can build, design, learn and experience self-efficacy together. The woodiversum is a central place for creative participation, where individual strengths become visible and collaborative work can be experienced. We create space for mutual understanding, diversity, and solidarity—supported by a dedicated team, a volunteer board, and a strong network.
