About us
Kinderstube Altona e.V. is a parent initiative and, since its founding in 1974, the oldest of its kind in the Sternschanze district. In 2017, the daycare moved from Bartelsstraße 65 to Bartelsstraße 12 due to a new building project. We are currently waiting for the completion of the new premises so that we can continue our work at the original location in new rooms.
We care for children aged 3 to 6 years in a group of around 20 children.
Our daycare center is toy-free. The name “toy-free kindergarten” might be misleading at first, as we do not forgo all play materials. Instead, the materials available are consciously selected. The aim is to counter the overexposure of children to ready-made toys and instead help them discover the many ways they can engage and entertain themselves creatively and actively. The educators act as supportive guides, offering encouragement and occasional inspiration along the way.

Die ersten Monate im neuen Zuhause
Hallo zusammen,
die ersten Monate in unserem neuen Kita-Zuhause haben wir geschafft und gewöhnen uns so langsam an die neuen Räume :)
Mit den bisherigen Spenden konnten wir nicht nur die Krippenmöbel (Wickeltisch, Tische und Stühle, Schlafmatten, Bettdecken, ...) kaufen, sondern auch neue Wandfarben und einige zusätzliche Materialien für den Kita-Alltag besorgen.
Weiterhin sammeln wir Spenden, um u.a. unsere große blaue Matte zu ersetzen bzw. zu reparieren, ein zweites Sofa zu besorgen, die Krippe noch weiter auszustatten und um unsere nun deutlich größeren Räume insgesamt gemütlicher zu gestalten und mit Stauraum und Spielmaterialen zu füllen.
Leitet also gerne den Spendenaufruf weiter und fragt nochmal im Bekanntenkreis herum, wir freuen uns über jeden noch so kleinen Beitrag!
