About us
Strengthening human rights in tourism together
The Roundtable Human Rights in Tourism is the central sector initiative for the promotion of human rights responsibility in the tourism industry. As an international, non-profit multi-stakeholder network, it brings together tour operators, associations, NGOs, institutions and certifiers - with the aim of implementing corporate due diligence along the tourism supply chain in an effective and practical manner.
Small and medium-sized companies in particular face the challenge of integrating complex human rights requirements such as the UN Guiding Principles or statutory due diligence obligations into their structures in a meaningful way. This is where the Roundtable comes in: with concrete tools, dialogue with colleagues, strategic orientation and access to a broad network of partners - including in destinations in the Global South.
