About us

Neue deutsche Medienmacher*innen e.V. is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting diversity in journalism and combating online hate speech, cyberviolence and disinformation. Through various projects, publications, and actions, we raise awareness about discrimination-free media work and empower journalists of color and those with immigration backgrounds. Our organization is supported by a nationwide network of media professionals, both with and without immigration backgrounds, working together to enhance diversity in the media landscape and improve media coverage. With our information resources, we support media professionals in terms of discrimination-sensitive media work and advise them on how to deal with disinformation and online hate speech. In order to foster a more diverse media landscape, we provide assistance to aspiring journalists with immigration backgrounds and media professionals who are new to Germany.
