About us
AKSUS e.V. (Arbeitskreis Schule und Stadtteil, or School and Neighborhood Working Group) is a non-profit initiative that was founded in 1989 in the Meiderich neighborhood of Duisburg. Our goal is to connect schools, institutions, associations, and citizens in order to shape and revitalize the neighborhood together. We firmly believe that education, culture, and social engagement go hand in hand to promote a strong and vibrant community.
