Leipzig helps Ukraine e.V
managed by Daniela Schulze
About us
We are part of an active network in Leipzig supporting people who have fled the war in Ukraine. Since 2022, we have been helping those seeking protection to build independent lives here through language courses, leisure activities, psychosocial support, and targeted political education programmes. These initiatives help newcomers better understand Germany’s political system, culture, and social structures.
Our work is vital, as many refugees face significant challenges: language barriers, social isolation, bureaucratic obstacles, traumatic experiences, and discrimination complicate their daily lives. State support is often insufficient and existing services overstretched. Through voluntary efforts and close collaboration with professionals and partner organisations, we provide swift assistance. Our strength lies in teamwork – sustainable integration is only possible together.
