About us
Leila is an independent counselling organisation for sex workers run by the Leipzig branch of the German AIDS Service Organisation (aidshilfe leipzig) in Saxony and is responsible for the areas of Leipzig, Zwickau and Plauen. We work anonymously, free of charge, partially, with low thresholds and in an accepting manner. In addition to providing counselling, support and assistance in all areas of life, we also visit sex workers in their diverse places of work.
In our work, we advocate for the right to personal freedom of choice, the reduction of prejudices against sex workers and for the improvement of their working and living conditions.
In addition to the counselling service, we also offer a shelter and recovery apartment for sex workers who need a safe place to recover for health or psychosocial reasons (e.g. after medical procedures, or to recover from mentally and/or physically stressful situations, etc.)

Ein wichtiger Bestandteil unserer Arbeit ist die aufsuchende Arbeit. Dafür sind wir regelmäßig an den Arbeitsorten der Sexarbeitenden vor Ort und klären über Angebote sowie Rechte auf und haben für alle Anliegen ein offenes Ohr. Bei den Einsätzen haben wir neben mehrsprachigen Flyern auch immer Beutel mit Arbeitsmaterialien wie bspw. Kondomen, Gleitgel und Softtampons dabei, die wir an die Personen ausgeben.
