About us

Generationen Digital Verbinden e.V. supports initiatives and projects in elderly care by strengthening communication with and among older adults living in care facilities or at risk of social isolation through our (digital) programs. Founded by lecturers, students, and alumni of the University of Vechta, we promote intergenerational exchange and the expansion of digital volunteer work across Germany.

With our ViVerA project, we bring virtual leisure activities to care facilities and enable intergenerational social connections. With our ViVerA project, we are one of the winners of the BMBF's ‘Society of Ideas’ innovation competition.

Other initiatives include a Zoom quiz round and the 'Digital-Tandem', where students help older adults safely navigate digital devices.
