About us

Hillel Deutschland – jüdische Bildungsinitiative in Deutschland e.V. is a nonprofit association that brings together Jewish adults ages 18-35 across Germany. Our mission is to enable these young Jews to live more fulfilling and proud Jewish lives by providing safe spaces of belonging, pathways to deeper Jewish knowledge and leadership, and possibilities to contribute to German and European civil society. Our vision is an empowered communities of young Jews actively building community, engaging Jewish education, leadership, and social action; young Jews who are proud of their Jewish knowledge and identities and commit to sustaining their Jewish communities.

We are a people-focused organization, built on relationships, always striving for kindness and respect. We are sustained by the Torah and what it gives us – rituals, learning, critical thinking, and personal growth. We actively pursue justice, by creating inclusive Jewish spaces and engaging in Tikkun Olam (repairing the world).
