About us

Compassion Burundi-Abagirampuhwe is a Christian non governmental organization registered with the Ministry of Interior and Public Security under the number 530/1008 of 02/07/2025. It has the mission to build a better world for widows, orphans and abandoned women and children. Its main program areas are relief, protection and resilience. Our clients are internally Displaced People, the Refugees, the Returnees and their host communities. The organisation has its headquarters in Bujumbura, Burundi. The organization is fundraising money to support widows, orphans and abandoned wives and children victims of April 2023 flooding in Gatumba area, who are today relocated in an internal displaced camp of Buganda, in the northwestern province of Burundi. A total budget of USD 310,000 is requested for a three year period.
