About us

The “Rosengarten Serenades of Bamberg” were established in 1962 and have since become an integral part of Bamberg’s cultural scene. Seven years ago, the association also took over sponsorship of the Bamberg New Year’s Concert, which takes place in cooperation with the German-Japanese Society on January 1 at 5 p.m. in the Bamberg Concert Hall.
The association has set itself the task of enriching the concert program in Bamberg with performances by local (Bamberg Symphony Orchestra) and foreign artists. But this concert series also offers artistically ambitious young ensembles from all over Europe a springboard for their own careers. We therefore want to be seen explicitly as a support association for young musical talent.
We are also enjoying a gratifying response from younger audiences and families, especially since the association has not charged admission fees for children for over 10 years and holders of the Bavarian volunteer card also receive discounted tickets.
