About us

The Bildungsnetzwerk China aims to expand the teaching of China-related competencies in German schools and strengthen exchanges between young people from both countries.

China’s global significance as a political, economic, and cultural actor necessitates exchange at various levels with its society and representatives. At the same time, perceptions of China in German society are often shaped by prejudice and distance. The German education system offers few opportunities to engage with historical or modern China, its language, and its culture. Only a small number of schools offer Chinese as a foreign language or regular exchange programs.

We strive to enable young people in Germany to integrate China-related competencies into their educational journeys. Through this, our network fosters a well-informed and conscious engagement with China in the long term and strengthens german-chinese relationships.
