About us
The Autonomes Jugendhaus (AJH) in Bargteheide is a self-managed place for young people that offers space for creativity, encounters and personal initiative. Since its founding in 1984, the AJH has stood for openness, diversity and solidarity. Young people volunteer here to organize workshops, discussions, parties and game evenings that enrich community life and culture in Bargteheide.
Far from commercial constraints, the house offers a safe retreat where young people can freely bring their ideas to life. The AJH is actively committed to combating intolerance, racism and discrimination and is committed to social justice.
It is a place where self-determination is lived, and community is strengthened.
