About us
Sustainable animal welfare abroad goes far beyond rescue operations and the placement of dogs in Germany. In order to improve the situation of street dogs in Bosnia in the long term, we focus on prevention through neutering projects.
Another key aspect of our animal welfare work is our close cooperation with the people in Bosnia. We cooperate with local vets, committed animal welfare activists and the municipality that runs the local shelter.
We also carry out educational work in schools to raise awareness of animal welfare and the importance of neutering among the younger generation. In this way, we create a broad basis for a long-term improvement in the situation of the local street dogs.
Our animal welfare association DOGsHOPE e.V. is a certified organization with permission according to §11 para. 1 sentence 1 no. 5 of the German Animal Welfare Act (TierSchG).

Mit schwerem Herzen müssen wir euch von Ori erzählen. Nach all der Zeit voller Hoffnung, Fürsorge und Liebe, die wir ihm schenken durften, ist er plötzlich von uns gegangen. Sein tapferes Herz konnte nicht mehr und er schlief für immer ein 😔
Ori war ein außergewöhnlicher Hund. Trotz allem, was er durchgemacht hat, trotz der Schmerzen und Herausforderungen, hat er immer wieder gezeigt, wie viel Liebe und Freude in ihm steckte.
Wir sind unendlich dankbar, dass wir Ori auf seinem Weg begleiten durften.
