About us

Our foundation was founded in January 2024 and fosters queer youth work in the state of NRW, especially focusing in the Rhineland region. The foundation’s purpose is to reduce prejudices and advocates for diversity and democracy on a non-partisan basis. Some of our founding donors can look back on several decades of experience in queer youth work, particularly as volunteers and / or full-time employees at anyway. As we opened in Cologne in 1998, we are Europe's first queer youth center. We have attracted young people from all over NRW and have paved the way for many other similar institutions.

Our goal is for young LGBTQI* people to find understanding, support, and advice regardless of where they live and whether their municipality provides financial resources for queer youth work or not.
