About us
At the Evangelical Hospice in Barsinghausen, we offer those with severe illnesses a place where they can spend their remaining time with dignity, comfort, and autonomy—regardless of their beliefs or financial situation.
Our house, located at the edge of the Deister forest, has a special history: the former Anna Forcke Home stood empty for over 20 years, falling into disrepair, before being purchased by a dedicated couple and renovated by the Association for Community Diakonia Barsinghausen e.V. Since January 2024, it has been home to our hospice, featuring ten cozy single rooms, a large terrace, a vibrant garden, and a communal kitchen where fresh meals are prepared daily, tailored to the individual needs and preferences of our guests.
Our mission is to fill the (final) days of our guests and their loved ones with care, joy, vitality, comfort, and strength. Our team of 29 staff members is committed to this goal every single day.

Dank eurer Spenden können wir schwerstkranke und sterbende Menschen sowie ihre An- und Zugehörigen verlässlich begleiten und unterstützen. Die Spendengelder werden ausschließlich für unserer Hospizarbeit eingesetzt. Sie helfen uns dabei, unsere ehren- und hauptamtlich Mitarbeitenden gut zu schulen und zu begleiten, psychosoziale und spirituelle Angebote zu ermöglichen, die Qualität unserer Begleitung weiterzuentwickeln und notwendige Sach- und Personalkosten zu decken. Wir gehen verantwortungsvoll, bedarfsorientiert mit allen Spenden um – vielen Dank für eure Unterstützung und euer Vertrauen.
