About us
Netzwerk komplexe Behinderung e. V. supports people who are particularly dependent on help to articulate their needs and rights. They often have limited opportunities to interact with their environment, show little interest in external stimuli and hardly react to stimuli, which severely restricts their self-determination. Their disability is usually associated with sensory and physical limitations, health problems such as epilepsy and lifelong dependency in all areas of life. The complexity of their situation makes it difficult for caregivers to adequately recognise their needs. A team of 26 scientists in the network is working to make research findings on the life situation of these people accessible to a broad public and to professional practice in order to promote social integration. The results are made available free of charge on the online platform ‘Qualitätsoffensive Teilhabe’.
