About us
The idea came about 10 years ago, in 2015, when Marc van der Meer volunteered on the beaches of Greece over Christmas and New Year, helping people who had fled war and arrived by boats across the sea.
This experience caused him to question the meaning and values of his work and his life. His perspective on life changed, and his true transformation began. Despite having a good income and working for well-known clients, he left the commercial world. He became more authentic, happier and discovered his life's mission and his roots.
Since then, Marc has been committed to justice and equality. He is an ambassador for volunteering among those in need, striving to make it an integral part of modern education. This is important for personal development and for anyone who wants to improve the world courageously and responsibly.
It's a mission that Marc wants to continue in memory of his grandfather, Cor 'Sis' Sistermans, who was born in Amsterdam in 1895 and died in 1963, two years before Marc was born. Cor was a beloved and inspiring shoemaker who served the community as a volunteer and a member of the board of the Dutch First Aid Organisation (EHBO).
Today, Marc is the founder of the non-profit academy and is passionately supported in his work by an international team of volunteers from a wide range of cultures and professions. For over 3 years, they have worked with complete conviction on 'Carrot Power!', despite having no income.
As a non-profit organisation, we focus on serving society rather than making high profits, and we lead by example. Our approach is different: we build trust through patience and quality, both of which are crucial to achieving a high impact. We are committed to paying equal and fair salaries to all our employees, regardless of gender, age, role or experience.
Our Happiness Programme is designed to be accessible and easy for everyone to understand. It combines fun with practical relevance. Some of our training courses have already been tried and tested, and have proven to be highly effective.
We are convinced that our programme is in tune with the times. It offers a fresh start to anyone who wants to help create a more inspiring world filled with responsible, dedicated individuals, communities and organisations.
We are currently finalising the programme and creating the website, flyers, posters and videos. We are also establishing partnerships with international and local organisations.
To implement all of this, we rely on your donations. We will be able to offer 'Carrot Power!' once the first €25,000 has been donated. 😃🥕.

Hello Carrot Power! 🥕💪 - Bye Fuck Stress!
Dear supporter,
as we are currently developing our brand positioning, we have decided to promote our 'Carrot Power!' 🥕💪 program rather than highlight a major social issue. As stress is making people ill and causing a lot of silent suffering, we have decided to skip this campaign, but we will address the issue at a later date.
Once we have raised €25,000 for 'Carrot Power!' 🥕💪, we can start building websites, making videos, holding street events, paying honours and doing many other things to make it a success.
Christmas will be here sooner than you think, so now is the perfect time to support us. The sooner we can start, the sooner we can support caring organisations and people in need with our qualified volunteers.
