About us

S.H.E. (Securing Health Empowerment) is an African-led, Berlin-based organization dedicated to tackling period poverty by increasing access to affordable menstrual health products and education. Our primary focus is on women and girls in rural African communities, and those who cannot afford them. S.H.E. donates reusable sanitary products, conducts health educational workshops, and works with communities to break taboos and the stigma surrounding menstruation. Our mission is to foster safe spaces for women, increase access to essential health products and resources, and improve health infrastructure to support the mental and physical well-being of women and girls.
