About us
Gezubuso Projects is a registered non-profit organization (NPO) in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN), South Africa. “Gezubuso” is isiZulu and means ‘wash your face’, reflecting the spirit of dignity and new vision.
Since our foundation in 2004, we have been committed to helping disadvantaged children and teenagers to give them a safer life and a real perspective for the future. Over time, our programs have adapted to the current needs in KZN. Today, we face major challenges such as drug abuse, many teenage pregnancies, homelessness, child abandonment and a youth unemployment rate of 61%.
Our current programs are:
- Sunshine Homes: Providing orphans and neglected children with a loving and safe home (currently 42 children)
- Education and training
- ABCD program: Psychosocial support for pregnant adolescents and young mothers
- Environmental protection projects

In den „Sunshine Homes“ von Gezubuso Projects finden Mädchen und Jungen, die nicht bei ihren Eltern leben können, ein sicheres Zuhause, Geborgenheit, Zugang zu Bildung, Gesundheitsversorgung und neue Perspektiven.
Die Pfarrkirchenstiftung Ottobeuren verwendet die Spenden für diese Aufgaben von Gezubuso Projects NPO in Südafrika.
Die Umsetzung erfolgt in enger Abstimmung mit der Partnerorganisation Gezubuso Projects NPO in Pietermaritzburg und dient der Verwirklichung der kirchlichen und gemeinnützigen Zwecke der Stiftung.
