About us

New Forest Earth is a young nonprofit organization that aims to strengthen indigenous Latin American communities by providing sustainable employment. It has become a trend for communities to resort to logging, mining or cattle pasturing to provide for the needs of their families. As a result, American forests are being destroyed at an unnatural rate. New Forest Earth aims to create alternative, practical employment. We do this by marketing what they have to offer: traditional Waorani jewelry, handmade recycled paper products and organic chocolate. The majority of the money raised from these products is then used to promote community projects such as planting Chambira Palm trees, writing poetry or encouraging interest in cultural heritage.
