About us
With over 600 members and partners, as well as 44 iHubs worldwide, FIWARE Foundation drives the definition — and the Open Source implementation — of key open standards that enable the development of portable and interoperable smart solutions in a faster, easier and affordable way. This approach helps to avoid vendor lock-in scenarios and fosters FIWARE as a sustainable and innovation-driven business ecosystem.
The foundation is supported by a rapidly growing global community that shares a common vision and works collectively to establish FIWARE as the preferred open source technology for users.
The FIWARE platform offers a simple yet powerful set of APIs and components that enable the connection to the Internet of Things, along with Context Information Management and Big Data services in the Cloud. Key focus areas include Artificial Intelligence, Digital Twins, Data Spaces, and Blockchain. Additionally, FIWARE is a member of GAIA-X and the Data Spaces Business Alliance.
