AHF believes that everyone deserves a best chance in life (equal rights), that is why we support the most vulnerable families at risk living in slums (to foster equal opportunities). Slums are the most conspicuous manifestation of urban poverty in Kampala today, they co relate with poverty. These slum dwellers have a number of challenges such as inadequate access to safe water, inadequate access to sanitation and other infrastructure, insecure residential status and high rates of unemployment, poor structural quality of housing and overcrowding, unable to access proper medical care. They have the worst drainage systems which leave them exposed to all kinds of diseases. AHF comes in as an answer to their plight. It aims at long term re-building of lives through Education, rebuilding and food security, medication and evangelism, development and clothing.
