About us

The Civitan Club Sehnde was founded in May 1998 and has 35 members in 2024. The focus of the voluntary work is on providing rapid help/support for people in need in difficult life situations in Sehnde. Where state aid is no longer possible, and the implementation of projects in the areas of education and prevention.
Since 2002, the focus in the social sector has been on offering food distribution to people in need in Sehnde via the Tafel Sehnde. The Tafel Sehnde is supported by the non-profit support association of the Civitan Club Sehnde e.V., which is a member of the umbrella organization Tafel Deutschland e.V.
The members of the Civitan Club Sehnde strengthen their cohesion through regular joint activities, invite guests to current topics and keep in touch with the city of Sehnde and other local associations and institutions.
The Civitan Club is well networked, including in the Alliance for Families, the Women's Working Group and the Round Table of the Sehnde Refugee Aid.
