About us

The full name "Bürgerstiftung Waldhof für die Gesundheit von Mensch und Natur" translates to "Waldhof Citizens' Foundation for the Health of People and Nature". The Waldhof Citizens' Foundation for the Health of People and Nature is a community initiative of citizens from the municipality of Greifenstein and its surrounding areas. It contributes to the community through its own projects and permanent facilities, as well as by supporting regional projects in the areas of health, nature and environmental protection, social issues, and art. The purpose of the foundation is to promote and/or develop the following charitable areas:

Health care
Nature conservation and landscape preservation, including climate and species protection
Education and upbringing
Art and culture
Promotion of civic engagement in support of the aforementioned charitable purposes

These activities primarily focus on the Waldhof, the municipality of Greifenstein, and the Lahn-Dill district region.
