About us

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the most common medical condition in Germany – even more common than cancer. According to the Bavarian State Ministry of Health and Care (StMGP), CVD was the leading cause of death in 2020, with around 50,000 deaths. Approximately one-third of heart patients suffer from severe psychological distress resulting from their heart condition. New approaches are needed to provide resource-efficient care for the growing number of heart patients suffering from psychological distress. Our charity supports the establishment of self-help groups, trains group leaders, and offers telephone counseling services. We also organize seminars and excursions to help those affected and their families overcome isolation.
