who we are
The Evangelische Stadtakademie is the think tank of the Evangelical lutheran Church in Munich. We stand in the tradition of Protestant academies (Evangelische Akademien) in Germany, which advocated the democratization and opening of society after National Socialism. Accordingly, we address social and personal topics on which people today are looking for information, discussion and orientation. Regardless of religious affiliation, our offers are open to everyone.

What we stand for
We stand for an open debate culture, for respect for every person and appreciation of other beliefs, as well as for a democratic and participatory society in which individual interests are related to the whole. In doing so, we also explore important traditions of Christianity and seek dialogue with other religions, with science, politics and culture.
