About us

‘MUSIC GIVES’ is our motto. Music is indispensable to us. Today, Europe needs to reflect on its common cultural roots more than ever. Its meaningful effect inspires us, builds bridges across borders and brings people together. It is our love of music, combined with our commitment to young musicians – vocal and instrumental – that drives us. We are committed to musical formats beyond mainstream programmes. We promote first-class young musicians and give them a stage to realise their musical visions, for example in the ODEON concert series in collaboration with the University of Music in Munich (HMTM). Since 1987, we have been promoting young talents in the field of classical music and jazz in various instrumental categories with the annual August Everding Music Competition. Our activities are complemented by the preservation of the Bach tradition in Munich with the annual performances of the great sacred works of the Thomaskantor.
