DLRG Ortsgruppe Schwerte e. V.

managed by Dennis Faulhaber

About us

The DLRG is the largest voluntary water rescue organization in Germany, Europe and worldwide. We, the local association in Schwerte are one of the largest organizations in Northrhine Westphalia, consisting of around 650 members. Important parts of our local association are rescue sports and our rescue team. Our team represents our local association at national and international competitions - right up to the world championships. We are involved with boats, rescue divers and swimmers in both disaster control and public emergency response to ensure the safety of people on and in the water. The emergency team ensures your safety. For example in Gronau 08/2010, Magdeburg 06/2013 and in the Ahr valley 07/2021, among many others. We also invite young people to join our youth emergency team so that they can later be part of our emergency response team, which saves lives in the event of flooding.

All of this works only on a donation basis and through our volunteer members.
